It's time to continue.....

Well, its been 2 years since my first post and I figured that, maybe, its time to continue. I started in 2006 with the idea that this would be a photoblog ( I'm interested in photography,so I thought a photoblog would be an interesting venue to express myself) but somewhere along the way I allowed myself to think that this was not such a good idea and there are more bloggers out there who actually know what they're doing and are doing it very well. Let's face it, trying to come up with something clever to say or post on a daily basis is no mean feat. But then again, was that really what I intended when I first started?
I recently came across this internet phenomenon, Lauren Luke( she has over 8 million hits on youtube, so I'm probably one of the last people on earth to hear about her). This 26 year old, simple and unpretentious woman does make up tutorials on youtube. She has become so popular that she has landed a contract with a make up company and has a dozen other offers in the works. I have to admit that she is the source of my inspiration, the catalyst that made me continue with this blog that has been left in limbo for the last 2 years. There are millions of blogs out there and people that can probably articulate and entertain, through their writings, much better than anything I could hope for but I've always wanted to chronicle my thoughts, however transitory, mundane, or indiscriminate they may be. Through Lauren Luke I've learned that you should put yourself out there, just go for it, even if the sum total of your viewership is one. At the least, it'll be a journal of random reflections and musings that's rattling around in my brain, with some forays into the world of design, furniture, photography, parenting, and anything else that I'm obsessing about. I recently read that there are about 108.9 million blogs, so here's to the 108,900,001 blog. (photo taken at a recent vacation in Daytona Beach, FL)
